Last week, I was able to interview Dr. Ruozzi, Associate Professor at University of Texas at Dallas, and I was able to learn how machine learning projects in the real world are implemented and the different constraints that guide them. I was able to get some more perspective in different AI projects and the possible projects I can create as I found inspiration through Dr. Ruozzi's research in Virtual Reality and Machine learning. Furthermore, I am more eager to use different technologies along with machine learning to try to make my own realistic product/final project. I was also able to learn the different types of problems that can come up during machine learning projects such as computational power, the ethics of conducting research and collecting data, and finding solutions to particular problems that come up during data processing.
Along with this, I am exploring some of the projects that are implemented in TensorFlow and PyTorch to gain a better understanding on what type of project I can create using more complex models. Furthermore, I am thinking of trying to explore more in the computer vision or reinforcement learning field for my final product in this semester. I am also currently in the process of finding a mentor who has a technical background in the field to obtain some guidance on how I can move on forward to create my final project. So, see you next time, next week, same place.
