During the past Thanksgiving break, I worked on my original work for developing my mini-projects and gained some of the fundamental skills in machine learning. Furthermore, I was able to speak to a professional and I was able to get her guidance on the tools I can use and what my thought process should be like when creating ML projects. Furthermore, she also offered some resources such as PowerPoints that helped me understand the process of machine learning. I also learned about KNIME, a no-code framework that supports the prototyping of machine learning projects, and now I will develop 1-2 projects using KNIME to illustrate some of the machine learning concepts I learned.

I also worked on the original work using Google Colab notebook which is supported by TensorFlow. I started a project using a neural network for digit classification and was able to programmatically implement the concept and learn about each of the processes that made the project possible. Furthermore, I am now almost done with this project and successfully have created a machine learning model. While creating the project, I faced some challenges but using some online resources and tutorials, I was able to explore machine learning and truly grasp some fundamental concepts. I was able to ponder on concepts and ask the Why? to several program statements and deeply understand the theory and thought process behind them.

Now, my goal is to finish my original work by next week and complete my projects on KNIME as well as work on another project in Google Colab programmatically. In turn, I will learn the programmatic implementation of machine learning and will also gain the prototyping perspective of the entire machine learning process. So see you next week, same place, same time.
